Finding Low-Cost and Zero-Cost Textbooks

Nevada State students can use the Student Center to locate courses with Low-Cost (under $40) or Zero-Cost (free) textbooks during registration. Follow the steps below to find these sections. 

Search for Low-Cost and Zero-Cost Course Sections 

To search for low-cost and zero-cost textbook course sections, follow these steps: 

  1. Go to my.nevadastate.edu.
  2. Log in with your NSHE ID and password when prompted.
  3. Select “Class Search” from the top-right section of the homepage.

  1. After entering at least one other search criteria, use the “Course Attribute” drop-down menu to select an option and view course sections designated as Low-Cost or Zero-Cost.

Low-Cost and Zero-Cost Course Designations 

Sections designated as zero-cost display “ZCB” in the “Books” column, while low-cost sections display “LCB” in the same column.
