Assignment-Based Instruction sessions are interactive library classes led by a librarian and tailored to your course. These sessions teach students how to conduct effective academic research using library tools and resources, aligned to your specific assignment and learning objectives.
This option works best for in-person, hybrid, and synchronous online classes with a current research assignment, giving students hands-on practice with the exact skills they'll need to complete it. They are held during your regularly scheduled class time.
Please submit assignment-based instruction requests at least two weeks before your preferred instruction date. While we make every effort to accommodate requests received with less than two weeks' notice, we may not be able to fulfill all requests. Your liaison librarian will follow up with you to fulfill your request and answer any questions.
If you'd like to schedule a brief, 15-minute visit from a librarian to introduce your students to library services, please complete our Quick Library Intro form.
