About the Library
As the pioneering all-digital academic library in Nevada, the Nevada State University Library is dedicated to enhancing educational outcomes for the university’s student body. Nationally renowned, the library team sets a benchmark for excellence:
Awarded the Excellence in Academic Libraries Award from the Association of College & Research Libraries. Nevada State is the first Hispanic-Serving Institution recipient in the Baccalaureate Category and only the second public institution to be recognized in the award’s 21-year history. Previous recipients include Amherst College, Carleton College, Grinnell College, Swarthmore College, and Wellesley College.
Recognized with a Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) unit commendation for mission fulfillment during the University’s Mission Fulfillment and Sustainability Evaluation. The regional accrediting bodies’ highest unit commendation.
Leading campuswide student satisfaction ratings. 97% of students selected “satisfied” or “very satisfied” as their library satisfaction rating in the 2024 campuswide satisfaction survey.
Awarded the inaugural 2023 Student-Focused Department of the Year Award from the Nevada State Student Alliance. Student leaders recognized the Library’s outstanding service to students and its impactful partnerships with student organizations on activities that promote student wellness and facilitate connections with academic resources and initiatives.
The Library provides convenient, 24/7 access to an extensive collection of ebooks and databases. The library also provides over two million print books through rapid delivery from partner academic libraries in Southern Nevada.
The Library’s beautiful and inviting space is located on the second floor of the Rogers Student Center. Friendly staff are available to answer questions and connect you with library and campus resources. Desktop computers and printers are available in the main library and in the library computer lab.

Library Advisory Board
The Library Advisory Board serves in a strategic advisory role as a liaison between faculty and the College Library. The Board provides feedback and recommendations to the library on services, collections, and space.
